Janet Rosenberg & Studio: HtO is a popular urban beach along Toronto’s waterfront inspired Georges Seurat’s painting, “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte.” It was designed with the intention of attracting people to the water’s edge and animating Toronto’s shoreline with activity. Multiple yellow umbrellas enclosed in sand and green dunes make the space very iconic from street level and from up above while the name, which is a play on the formula for water, H2O, is a way of branding the park.
