Ateliers 2/3/4/: The landscape is a fundamental element in the coherence and articulation of the Docks de Saint-Ouen ZAC. The vast public spaces are marked by extensive planting that interacts closely with the subplots. Along with the project management, we provided landscape services for the D4a and D4b plots. Ground cover runs to base of the buildings whilst some tall trees frame views to accompany glimpses to and from the centre of the block. The entire garden is sited below the paths to ensure natural storm water retention and runoff to public drains whilst maintaining ground floor privacy. The densly planted block centre is extended by the provision of low roofs with hanging gardens.
