Running a small Museum Nordwestbahnhof on site we would like to draw your attention to the varied and rich history of this former station, from the spawning grounds of Viennese fish to the filling and draining of large parts of the 2nd and 20th districts in the 1860s, through the boom years, crises and interim uses (including the anti-Semitic hate exhibition “The Eternal Jew” in 1938) to the current demolition.

Hoping that some of its the topographical, landscape-historical, architectural, political and functional significance can find their way into the redesign to enhance the identity of the future neighborhood for 16.000 inhabitants, we would like to share our book “Blinder Fleck Nordwestbahnhof” about the history of the site with interested competition participants.

By appointment we can also offer guided tours of the entire station area (and through our museum).
