Landscape Architecture at NDSU is a STEM-designated, nationally accredited, and licensed professional program that involves designing and planning outdoor environments, including parks, campuses, streetscapes, plazas, ecological restorations, stormwater systems, and large-scale planning for greenways and new cities. We are ranked in the top 10 for value and the top 20 most hired from programs in the U.S. By integrating natural systems within cities and places, our graduates play a vital role in fostering environmental sustainability and strengthening urban resilience.
The School of Design, including our Department of Landscape Architecture, Disaster Resilience and Emergency Management (LADREM), provides degrees in Landscape Architecture, Disaster Resilience and Emergency Management, Community Resilience and Planning, and GIS. We have state-of-the-art ideation labs and collaboration spaces in two historically re-adapted buildings in a vibrant, walkable neighborhood. The program, once you are accepted, includes annual travel, scholarships, and research assistantship opportunities under the supervision of award-winning faculty.
