Urbio: the Sörmland’s museum exhibits the history of Sörmland County. The museum wants to tell the local history by highlighting the people who’ve made the objects and handicrafts in their collection. This approach is also reflected in the museum’s outdoor spaces where the “museum square” combines pedagogical discovery-elements and contemplative values. The square provides space for larger events, with steel structures that create spatiality and can be used for outdoor exhibitions.

The outdoor exhibition area is divided into three areas: In the ’’workshop’’, visitors of all ages can participate in playful activities. The ‘‘cultivation area’’ encourages people to take part in the everchanging wonders of nature, while the “garden of memories” accommodates plants with personal stories that are donated by the county´s residents.
