Henrik Jørgensen Landskab AS: At the new Danish KPMG HQ in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen the landscape consists of a public green space – a grass clad roof garden above the parking garage to the east and a more formal entrance area to the west. Precise triangular grass slopes form the low pyramid like shapes of the rooftop park area complementing the edged design of the facades and at the same time constituting the transition to street level to the east. Gingko trees supplement the angled grass landscape on top and groups of larch, oak, and cherry trees the eastern slopes.

The roof garden is intersected by a public foot and bike path that via a small bridge landing on the edge of the green space connects the older neighborhoods to the north of the metro tracks with the new neighborhood Flintholm that is currently being developed. Thus, the KPMG roof garden is not only a bit of corporate green décor but becomes an interesting addition to the infrastructure of this new part of town. The intersecting paths are edged by triangular cor-ten walls of varying heights and angles adding to the facetted design.

In connection with main entrance space to the west of the building there is a drop off area, access to the parking garage, and a bike park. The entrance area is paved with light grey granite, the signature paving of Flintholm, to ensure local coherence. Custom designed cor-ten bike stands add a sculptural element to the entrance area.
