The Harpo double chaise lounge is an invitation to relax, repose and enjoy being outdoors with the people who mean the most to you. Its generous scale and laid-back posture welcome partners, dear friends and families to share in intimate moments of togetherness.
Designed by renowned father-and-son team Miguel and Gonzalo Milá for Urbidermis, the Harpo double chaise takes life outdoors into full relaxation mode. While expressively casual in its demeanor, Harpo embodies hallmark Spanish design refinement with an elegant, international appeal and distinct architectural clarity.
Simply comprised of an ergonomically angled plane resting atop a metal frame, the two-person lounge measures an ample 47” across the width of its seat, yet remains surprisingly slim in profile. It’s this graceful profile, visual lightness and carefree persona that truly belies Harpo’s strength and endurance.
The bent, welded and powdercoated steel frame firmly grounds the Harpo double chaise, making it an ideal candidate for rigorous public use throughout streetscapes, in parks, and on college and corporate campuses. Wood slats spanning the back and elongated seat introduce welcoming warmth and smoothness into the landscape, characteristics that will persist as the wood naturally weathers to a soft pewter grey. Designed specifically to withstand the elements, Harpo double chaises live long, beautiful lives outdoors with very little maintenance.
The Harpo double chaise lounge is the latest addition to the celebrated Harpo line from Urbidermis for Landscape Forms. The versatile site furnishing collection also incorporates a single chaise lounge, an upright lounge chair, a bench and a dining-height table. Refinement, durability and economy of expression appear as themes throughout the Harpo line, offering designers a thorough palette to create upscale settings that enhance people’s connections to nature, the built environment and to one another.
