OLM P. Coignet, S. Zagheno: This project is located on the former site of the Renault factories. The interior of a new private housing block and is crossed by a public walkway. The project is based on two principal ideas: One is to collect the rainwater from the rooftops into large pools of cor-ten steel which separate the private space from the public walkway. This water is used for irrigation and provides water for the Park of the Banks of the Seine by TER landscape architects, conducted by the large public swales. The second principal is to respond to the difference in sunlight exposure created by the high buildings, by creating on the shady side a forest of pines and ash trees on a carpet of 10000ferns. On the more sunny side a large meadow planted with Amelanchiers, Redbuds and Cherries provides a more open space.
